Crime Statistics
The Georgia Tech Police Department reports its statistics through the FBI's Incident Based Reporting System.The Institute does not record statistics for crimes involving students that occur in other jurisdictions and are investigated by other police agencies. Such criminal offenses are recorded by the jurisdiction where the crime occurs, however the Institute maintains good communication with Atlanta Police Zone 5 Commanders who patrol areas adjacent to the Tech campus.
