Motorcycle and Bicycle Units
The primary duties of the Motorcycle Unit are traffic enforcement, pedestrian traffic control and enforcement, accident reduction enforcement, escorts, and special event traffic control. Because of their mobility, motorcycle officers can respond to some calls faster than a patrol vehicle. Escorts, parades, traffic and crowd control associated with special events are areas in which motorcycle officers are very effective.
