Patrol
The Patrol Division consists of 51 officers, 4 sergeants, 4 Lieutenants, and a Captain. It is the most highly visible component of the department. The officers on patrol deliver dedicated service to the campus twenty four hours each day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty five days a year.
Services provided to the community include but are not limited to:
- Keep the peace
- Maintain public order
- Patrol with an orientation toward prevention and detection of crimes and accidents
- Investigate crimes, offenses and other criminal or non-criminal incidents
- Identify and apprehend suspects and offenders
- Discover and manage hazardous situations
- Direct and control traffic
All officers are professionally trained and certified in accordance with the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council.
